When my powerbook broke, I had to use my desktop. Rather than signing into AIM, I signed into my trillian that I had installed months before but hadn\\’t logged in for months.<\/p>\n
But the moment I did that, the people I had deleted from my list in those months reappeared. It\\’s strange how these names carry so much meaning. Each person is associated with one single screenname, but I can remember their history. So I can know 250 different people and remember every single thing about them. The interaction I had with them. The reason why and how they got on my aim list. Is it because I associate so much with each person, is that normal? <\/p>\n
According to my count, there are 75 people I deleted ever since I left Berkeley (the last time I really used Trillian). Those 75 people mattered less to me then when I moved to Pittsburgh. They were the ones that I kept on my list just in case. The ones that I thought I would talk to, but decided that it wasn\\’t worth it. And deleted them. But because of the way Trillian is built, it tries to put the deleted ones back in. A comparision of the old list with the new.<\/p>\n

\nAlston – someone who I had liked during my freshman year, but things fell apart toward the end; he was weird.
\nArden – Cliff\\’s friend, my sister\\’s friend
\nJean – he who I must not speak of
\nJiong – my neighbor across the hall who never stopped making fun of me, he got annoying when I moved out
\nStacee\\’s friend – I don\\’t even know his name anymore, I think I got mad at him or something
\nAjay – I still have yet to meet him in person, Noah\\’s friend
\nHaywood – Karen\\’s friend
\nthat girl who was so overly religious and annoyingly attention-loving – god, she was too young and I didn\\’t have the patience
\nmatt – still have his other sn
\nmike – got too ljish
\nchanning – got a gf
\njulie – I decided that we couldn\\’t be friends
\njason – for the purpose of going to duluth
\nsome girl – i don\\’t know who
\nsome guy i met on icq
\nnorbert – the guy from my senior prom, what a waste of time
\nlin – i got mad at her my freshman year and things never got better
\ndesmond – it never progressed between our friendship in class
\nstacy – it got very annoying toward the end of high school
\nchanning\\’s other sn

\nzhibo – never really talked that much after 160
\nsherri – i was good friends with her freshman year, but after that…we just went on different paths and we didn\\’t bothered to keep in touch

\njason – after the rob incident, things just didn\\’t progress. he used to call me cornbread, an affectionate name i suppose

\nmike – he was so whiny, so emo, didn\\’t work out after the rob\/dan thing
\nemmy – met him on a cruise ship, we just couldn\\’t keep in touch

\nscott – a guy who totally had a crush with me, but then i must have gotten mad him, online fling
