We ordered a few dishes and Chris went out to repark the car. While waiting, I browsed through my phone. Then for a moment, I looked up and saw Francis. He looked the same. The ruddy cheeks and the messy hair. The weird slightly unkempt style.<\/p>\n
Even though I thought that I had moved past it, my body went tense and I tilted my face down. His presence was overwhelming and I hated it. There was nothing that I wanted to say. All I wanted was to leave, but the things that I had ordered, I just couldn\\’t leave. So instead, I continued browsing. Now noting that Chris was stuck finding parking.<\/p>\n
Then without warning, i saw that he was in front of me. \\”Hello,\\” he said, smiling.<\/p>\n
\\”Hello,\\” I said back and offered nothing more. I don\\’t know if I smiled, but at the very least, my displeasure must have crossed my face even though I was trying to stifle it. <\/p>\n
\\”Is there something wrong?\\” he said and watched my face.<\/p>\n
I said nothing and returned my phone, letting the words fall heavily onto the table.<\/p>\n
