"She's shy," Becky (eeeesh, no more nickname for you after embarassing me) explained.
Then when we were forming groups for a CS activity, one guy said, "Hey shy girl! Join our group!!"
Tsk tsk. Thanks Becky.
Yet sometimes I wonder why I laugh so hard and so ridiculously.
Todd, the TA for my CS section, did the usual ice breaker for most courses in college. Say your name, say your (intended) major...then he added say "something interesting about yourself". I was going to say that my friend thought I was strange, because that was what she told me. However, when it got to my turn, I said my name "Jennifer" and my major "intended CS". Then suddenly I burst out laughing and had to sustain myself by gripping onto my desk. I tried to speak again, but I laughed instead. Becky, in her usual state, decided to help me out by saying..."she's shy. Oh, but she'll get better once you get to know her."
Eeesh!
Oh and geeeeez...nobody I know (except my dorm neighbor) has done the CS homework. I can feel procrastination setting in. I don't get the homework either. Make a function product that is analoguous to the function sum. Say it again?
By the way, I forgot to mention yesterday's astrobiology lecture which amused me for a major portion of the day. Dr. Lipps showed a clip from Aliens Amongst Us where a man had a mysterious object removed from his thumb. A mysterious object probably placed there by an alien. Ooooooh! Well, that too...I couldn't help laughing.
This is where we have to wonder about scientific literacy. Check out this quiz.
I spent the majority of my free time wandering aimlessly on the web. Interesting discovery--if you go to iwin.com, click the treasure tab and after it loads, hit + on your numeric keypad...something interesting will happen. :)
