Oh misery!
He said he loved me unconditionally.
I said I loved him unconditionally.
I remember
The gaze on my face
A tender touch
Like a tale
Out of a child's storybook
My roommates
No, they must not hear my cries
I scream in agony
But my tears have already run out
Yet the blanket is not thick
Enough to shield me
From fantasy and reality
The roses are dying
The sweet soft petals
Fall gently upon
Smiling stationary faces
And to the pillow below
Where I had laid for hours
Lonely
And thinking of only him
Today, I crossed the street
Watched the oncoming cars
How easy it would be
To trip and fall
Then no more
He said he loved me unconditionally.
