Last Day

Sunday, May 20th 2001 02:09AM

I left all the hard-won memories behind today. With a swipe of my sponge, it was erased. Completely.

Oddly enough, I feel more at ease that I "threatened" him before my computer science final. It made me feel so much better.

Today, okay...well yesterday...I finally moved out of my dorm. Because I only got three hours of sleep total (I was attempting to download Requiem for a Dream), I woke up pretty cranky. Kia had already moved out and took the phone. Ugh, so...we had to borrow a neighbor's phone. My mom came a little after seven o'clock. By then, Jason had woken up. Jason is so cool. Hehe, I suppose that he felt obligated to help us out because he was leaving several boxes to store over the summer. Do you realize how guyish most guys are? I need muscle. Let me carry those boxes for you. Muscles don't turn me on.

Then came the long drive home. The CRV was completely packed. Somehow, over the year, I had accumulated a lot of junk and had to figure out where to vacate them all.

After Doreen and Dan went to the senior ball, Mike, Steve, Rob and I headed off to San Francisco. I had planned the event more than a week early, knowing that I would be highly depressed if I wasn't out on the town. Unfortunately, going to San Francisco on a Saturday night (even if my sister didn't have a prom) meant that I would see thousands of prom-goers, always reminding me of the other possible path. I could have been in LA. I would be dancing with him right now. It sorta hurt when I saw cars pass by with smiling people dressed in formalware. It just hurts.
Nonetheless, Mike, Steve, and Rob pretty much kept my mind off of things. It's strange that way...I feel more at ease with younger people than with people my age. I recall yesterday. Then again, I barely knew more than two people of the group I was hanging out with yesterday.
I am a heavy free-loader. This last week, Marisol mentioned how I always have this pitiful look on my face. And of course, that pitiful look would always cause a "I'll buy that for you!" I only spent $2.01 today. :) Well, not including my BART ticket.
I learned how guys can be sooooo guyish. Not only am I speaking of...muscles. One day, I'll learn how to burp the entire alphabet. One day. We went to see Shrek (a very nice recommendation by Mike) at the Metreon. Then we had fun chatting afterwards. Sure, it was all gossip. That's the greatest conversation-starter of them all. :)

Can't wait for the 26th! :)
