history repeats

I have always disliked any form of one-on-one where I am forced to play the role of the "submissive" and "inferior" one. For example, student to teacher...and yes...student to tutor. Me no like!

Like you would guess, I did embarrass myself today again. SIGH! Life is not going to treat me well because of this weakness of mine. Can you imagine a grown adult fleeing for the corner where sheets of white lay when in a simple meeting with a superior? I certainly can't. Yet the aggressive side of me can.
They say that imagining the entire situation with a successful outcome would work. Optimism works, they say. Not always.
There was a quote on the wall: “Pessimists find difficulty in every opportunity. Optimists find opportunity in every difficulty.” The tutor (who pounded her hands on her table while reading Unix for the Impatient) even gave me the usual assurance. You will learn from your mistake. That is if my mistake doesn’t haunt you or me forever. Hopefully, I won’t be regarded as the student who overreacts to every failure. Personally, I have no direct connection with failure. It’s just that…direct social pressure by someone watching me do my work is incredibly hard.

And to worsen the last part of the day, I missed dinner. I have nothing to eat except dried noodles with water, which is about five years old now.

You would think you would’ve gotten stronger…but instead history repeats itself.

Well not to end on a depressing note, once again (like every Wednesday), I saw Cathy, Tram, and Hien again! Unfortunately Alston sorta disappeared…sheesh. He’s supposed to be reading my essay. TSK! Alas, wallowing in solitude. It’s funny now…Catherine is helping me avoiding a particular someone…
Heh, my problems are over magnified…
