I called my sis today. (Not a big unique thingie, but I did!) The freshman fifteen does exist. Somewhere out there. "The food is so good!" she exclaimed.
I laughed horrendously. My sis. The picky eater. The one who refused to eat more than half of what was on her plate. I want to visit ucsd. "FAT!" I yelped.
Okay, so the word fat is rarely in my language. I would rather use those politically correct words such as pleasantly plump or chubbie (bunnie). But well, it was my sis. And she's getting the freshman fifteen right this moment. :D
I woke up around 8:30 in the morning today. Grabbed my glasses and glanced at the clock. Then went back to sleep. And for the next hour and a half, I ignored the mental alarm clock until my mom called the apartment from downstairs. Yeah it's always like that...I am the only roommate that would hear the phone. Last year, I remember scrambling in the morning with my eyes barely open to grab the phone early in the morning. Perhaps, I am the only with any self-determination.
Then I scurried to Oakland. I was supposed to help my grandmother troubleshoot the computer (again). Note, people who cannot read English should get computers that have software in their native language. Bleh. Perhaps, I am snobby that way. I learned everything about computers by myself. Well almost everything. I learned a significant amount from other people. The most valuable skill so far? Tracking IP numbers. Strangely enough, it scared people. ;) Had lunch with the grandparents. Called my sis. Learned that, yes, she was going to gain weight. :D Went home. Napped. Went shopping. Ate dinner. Went to Lydia's place. Scanned pictures. Good stuff. :)
