The weirdest thing just happened.
I came back from a long walk from the extension building and was planning to get in a nap before my next class. I turned on my computer and started playing my mp3s. Suddenly, the phone rang.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hi, how are you doing today?" a male voice said.
"Okay..." I started realizing that this might be a salesperson call. "Who are you calling for?"
"Nobody. What is your name?"
"Jennifer...wait a minute, what is your purpose of your call?"
"Oh...I don't want to study for my midterm and I was bored."
"Ah! So this is a random phone call?"
"Yes. So where are you from?"
I should have been a bit cautious about the call...knowing that it was a complete stranger. Unfortunately, I discovered that he lived in the fraternity across the street from my dorm. Not to be blunt, I told him all my biases about frat boys and especially the bias I had about my neighbor who was obsessed with frat parties. Then he started the personal questions. Annoying. Nevertheless, I kept accusing the voice of being superficial. Then the weirdness ended and the phone rests in the corner of the room.
College life is weird.
Life will get even weirder.
