Swollen Sleep

Somehow last night (boredom bit me hard), I spent a good three hours engrossed in Adeline Yen Mah's Falling Leaves. My dad earlier had suggested me to read it, but I kept putting it off. It was pretty sweet and endearing. This is why one day I want to write my own memoir. Everybody is unique in their own way and I am too.

My spring break is nearly over. On Monday, I'll be returning to the same old cycle of procrastination and last-minute cramming. Then in just a few days, my dearest Alan will arrive. :) ...and the dreaded CS midterm.... *gulp* I already don't understand concurrency that well. It's just toooo abstract. Serialization...yeah. If they only provided more world-like examples instead of endless virtual bank accounts. No we don't need to know that Peter and Paul need to exchange money...and what would happen if Paul decided to withdraw $10 and Paul decided to deposit $40 at the same time. No, not yet.

I lazed around in my sister's bed again. You can just put your face into her blankie and get lost in it. Poor Doreen, though! After she came back, she related the horrors of the senior fashion show--how girls in high school are just so mean. Maybe it is just Acalanes. Sheeesh, when was the last time that someone in Berkeley came up to me when I am standing in front of the bathroom mirror and snobbily said, "Move!" High school = very cliquey.
I really dislike stereotyping, but I have a tendency to start stereotyping when someone of a general group insults me. In particular, I remember the lady on the BART who told my sister and me to vacate a certain pair of seats. Days after though, I became anxious whenever I was within the vincinity of a woman who had short blond hair, a tan, and a my-husband-paid-for-my-plastic-surgery-because-he-is-rich-and-knows-that-my-body-is-the-only-worthwhile-possession look. Sheeesh.
I think that one is over.
