It's almost time for school. Just one more week. That guy, C, who seemed a bit too friendly has all but disappeared from my life. However, with that...several others have disappeared and I am pretty pleased about that. You know who you are?
C is for Calvin and cool. No more of that elitist snobbiness.
My sis and I (after an hour spent at Sunvalley mall trying to find her a perfect top, but instead finding a perfect bottom) journeyed our way to El Sobrante to meet up with Calli, who we had met on the Alaskan cruise. Fortunately, this time around, our journey didn't nearly end in frustration as our journey to San Francisco almost did. You'll never know what you might discover when cooped up in a car with one other person. It's work under pressure. I just had to peel my eyes at PVHS' yearbook and gasped at how my childhood friends had grown. Coincidentially, Calli attended the high school I would have attended if I had not moved to Lafayette. I never really kept in touch with any childhood friends (maybe it was my social awkwardness, but who knows). There was Jody Wong and Crystal Suarez (maybe they'll stumble upon this page in a vanity search - as of now, there is no Jennifer Ng site relating to me just because digitalrice went kaput). Oh and yes, Celeste, who I ran across only once at Judy Chinn workshops. I was a social misfit then and couldn't keep much of a conversation. Oh yes, how college can change you.
Anyway, after spending a significant portion of our time poring over the yearbooks, we ventured our way to Hilltop Mall, yet another site of nostalgia. And I cannot believe that Calli never did the Tell-Me-A-Story program during the summer. I shall always remember the free breakfasts. Somehow whenever I think of that summer program, the taste of yogurt returns to my lips. Rotten yogurt, perhaps too. Then we bounced our way to Denny's. This time though, we didn't enjoy the food as much. And unfortunately, we didn't get anything on the house (although the service was admittedly not the greatest). Then we got a Slurpee. :) Just like Jeff. Unfortunately, I wasn't holding it tightly enough and when my sister zoomed out of her parking space, the entire slurpee promptly fell on its side. The 5-second rule suddenly occured in my mind (if it hasn't been more than five seconds, it must be okay to eat). But I gave up and just wiped up the blue/red goo. Cool Calvin filled the slurpee back up for me. :D Then we pranced around his house for awhile.
I thought Divas were supposed to be well known. Who is Melissa Auf Der Maur anyway? Interesting quiz. Somehow I got bored and found this on someone's page. Why did I take it? Why did I post it? Because...I just had to.
