I gotta envy those freshmen. As first year students, they are overly pampered by the University. Last year, I didn't take advantage of that pampering. In fact, I barely partaked in that pampering. Sometimes the annoying irritatant is not appreciated until it's gone. It's ironic how that works.
Today was my second day of class. I had woken up a bit more energetic than yesterday. Yet, I still felt the painful feeling of dread. And at this point of my life, I have a lot to dread. It shouldn't be that way, but somehow I made it that way.
Met about two people today. All first years. That's exactly what made me regret that I was no longer a freshmen. Now I have to be...experienced. It's surprising how fast you can meet people at the beginning of the year. Yet as time wears on into the semester, people begin to stick into groups. Even in college, where cliques do not exist.
It was almost unbearable when I walked into my afternoon lecturess today. However, that's where I met those two fresh...meat! LS 23 met my high expectations. Professor Presti was supposed to be really interesting...and a really easy course. He didn't disappoint by showing a black and white movie about Louis Pasteur. Some parts of the movie were really cheesy, but it made the movie all the more interesting. The weird thing was that although the movie took place in Europe, nobody spoke French or any other European language. Even when a character from Great Britain arrived to speak with Pasteur, he had no hint of a British upbringing. Cheesy, yes. Somehow my gpa slipped below...way below...just because of a particular incident involving Astrobiology. Professors who have misspelled lecture slides suck.
