so you know it

I know that I think too much. Someone warned me once that thinking is dangerous. I am not just speaking of George Orwell's 1984 here, but just overanalysis can get you in a deep rut.
Why do suddenly all the worse things he ever said return now? Thought does destroy. Ignorance is bliss. Too bad I never believed in ignorance. Or for that matter, innocence. I clearly remember what he said that tore me apart, nearly driving me deep into self-pity. "And so you think with that journal of yours that you will find people how will listen and those will be your friends...how pathetic."

No, not really.

What destruction nonetheless.

My sister is currently enduring the effects of intolerance. Okay, well...her roommates' intolerance of people's differences of lifestyle. Because my sis and I were always guarded at home (that's what happens when you have Chinese parents), we found limitless freedom and independence at college. Dude. I just can't believe that some people are that intolerant. It's interesting to note that you only understand a situation when you experienced yourself.
I understand completely when I leave puddles in the bathroom.
