just a smile

One single smile can do wondrous things. A laugh when genuine when non-mocking...can do even more.

I am emotionally high maintenence. That's one thing I have figured out from my long journey. I don't need roses every day. I don't need to be groomed constantly. I need to be reassured. I need to be remembered. I need to be satisfied.

The tensions that I thought were present eased when Emily gave a quick smile. I didn't feel irritated. It's strange what optimism can do to people. It was all good.
As for nervous laughter, when they don't mean anything...well, you know.

There are two different kind of smiles. There's the one that you give when you see someone you don't know. There are no eyebrows raised. It's a "I am friendly, don't kick me!" smile. Then there's the kind that you give to a genuine friend. Your eyebrows raise up. You are very glad to see your friend.

Odd, isn't it?

And even too, a single laugh can ease the tension in the room. That's when everything seems trivial.

And I spent yet another evening in Soda. Before going Soda though, I went to the Perodical Room to research anthrax. It's an interesting topic, I must admit. I merely walked down the aisles and was able to grab six resources in a minute. It's freaky how people are anxious nowadays.
In Soda, I ranted about stuff again with Becky, Karen and Richard. Boris didn't show up...for the second time. Hope he doeesn't replicate what happened in the last project.

Amazons is a very strange game. Amazon women treat Amazon men poorly. :)
