guessing work

It wasn't as if I wanted to know. It wasn't as if I didn't want to know. Additionally though, I knew. But well, it sorta happened.

So Chris brought me to an ABSK event. At first, I was even reluctant to go, because personally I have this thing about participating in religious events. Nonetheless, I do have respect for them. In the end, I decided that I should expand my horizons. Surprisingly, it wasn't what I thought it would be. I went with Chris (duh of course!), Cliff, Karen (who I found out was pretty cool), and Tom their floormate. It's funny to discover that I have been introduced repetitively to people. For example, Ashwin. Every time I visit Cliff, I get introduced to Ashwin. Maybe next time, I should say hi. :) I should...really.
The Christmas celebration was amazingly good. Incredibly impressive. Yes, more adjectives! The singing was strong. I found out after the "musical" that the group had actually written the lyrics and the script. Popular songs...well, soundtracks were used. Best part? The psuedo-Matrix scene in the first skit. Afterwards, I snacked and snacked on the refreshments they provided. Cheesecaaaaake. Mmmmmmm. Chris attempted to find a ride for me. A nice super-senior Issac drove me back to my apartment. Interesting evening to say the least.

Guilt-ridden. Jeanie, who had "accosted" me earlier this semester, just so happened to be sitting behind me. "You have time to find a fellowship." I don't know how my agnostic beliefs directly started. I remember one particular instance in a CDC class (at this point I don't even remember what CDC stood for...center of disease control? maybe!) where the group leader said that everyone who didn't worship the same Christian God would be condemned to Hell for eternity. That bothered me. In Dante, those souls are condemned to Limbo. But still, it's all about whether they lived a good life, never abusing themselves or others. And so there it is.

Cs Review. Sunday. 4-6 pm. 100 Lewis. Who was I kidding? I barely understood the material that Hilfinger had been teaching us for the last month. The review barely made any sense to me. Unfortunately, Steve's powerpoint presentation (who said that we would have been proud of) couldn't be displayed because the room's cabinet of the good electric stuff was locked. Blah. Sam kept wanting to leave. Haha. Would have wanted to bug Richard or Boris (especially Boris) whether I could suck up their knowledge aka review on Monday. Nonetheless, Sam was able to convince me to leave early. Meep.
Got a nice review. :) Oh and yes Memento was good. Cell phone reception in Clark Kerr sucks. :p
