One intent: to not crash the car

To say the least, I was pretty impressed with myself. Well, almost. Because my sister had an incident with her face (MAJOR TSK!), I drove all the way to Cupertino. Or was it Santa Clara? Nonetheless, rain was pouring down all the way there. Fortunately, we were playing Jimmy Eat World on the CD player that kept skipping every 5 seconds the entire 50 miles there. The music made up for the danger that I was enduring. So it couldn't have been that bad. At one point on 680, I couldn't see a single thing on the road. Nonetheless, we got to Eric's house alive. :)

When I got there, I felt slightly awkward. I recognized only four people. Channing, Josh, Rakeesh, Alan (no...it was...Alan Black). There were 15 others that I didn't know...yes even those host, Eric. But my sis made me feel bit comfortable...although she retreated to the bathroom once we arrived. Fear from the pouring rain probably filled up her bladder. :D We watched a movie in Mandarin (so I couldn't understand a single word) about people who played soccer. It was pretty good...in a dorky British way. Exaggerated Kung Fu moves definitely. :p It reminded me slightly of Matrix. Aaaaah, so that's what I get for being white-washed. Note: I am a twinkie, not a banana, because a twinkie is sweeter! Haha, lame I know. But...I am!
Oh yes, my sister performed a version of Tai Mai Shu - Freestyle. She kinda messed up...but hey, it was impressive! :D Even if she had a dash of Nair allergic reaction.
Curiousity got the hold of me and I trekked over to a brightened room at the corner of the living room. Ellen had arrived and followed my sis and me. First impression: Who has the money to set up a mini computer lab in the garage. Wish I had the same setup. We were watching a video for a high school senior english class. Needless to say, I was impressed by the quality of filming. Oh and the fake guns. Oooh and the car chase scenes. Must attempt to the do the same with my sucky videocamera and my '93 Acura Integra.

Afterwards, we headed to a karaoke place in Santa Clara. There my sis got hit by the pangs of hunger and went to a nearby diner to buy a green tea latte milkshake. Was a bit too sweet. Then we started the 2 hours of fun. Okay, so i was very hesitant on karaoke since last time I was...horrifyingly displeased. Yet, because we had 20 people...it was somewhat better. After someone sang Reflection incredibly well, I almost backed out. Nonetheless I eventually sang a bit of Torn, I Want It That Way, and Hanging by a Moment. Can you say out of tune? Yes. Got my five dollars worth.

By the time we finished karaoke, it was 9:30 pm, my mom had called to say we had to be home at 10:30 pm. Like...we could. :p We drove back to Eric's house with Josh and Rakeesh directing me all the way there. There...I got my own pangs of hunger. We took pictures with Channing, Josh, and Alan Black. Then we drove Hao home. Got to pick up a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. Good stuff. Then we watched donuts made...
Too bad the closest Krispy Kreme is more than 30 minutes away from where I live. :(

And yes, I really did have fun at the New Years' Party although I didn't know anyone. :)
