So life isn't always wonderful.
Today, a combination of a door slamming and the oddly strong pang of hunger woke me up. Just in time. It was 9 am and I had class in less than forty minutes. Nevertheless, I moved slowly in my sleepy state to get ready. I arrived to my psychology class about ten minutes late.
Fortunately Tram patient as she always is decided to wait for me after class. It was her 18th birthday today! On election day! She was wearing the "I voted" sticker when she saw me rushing toward the extension buildings. Unfortunately for me, although I recieved the absentee ballot nearly a week ago, I was late late late! I had to send it so that it would arrive by today. AGH! Hopefully, Gore would win. I would vote for Nader despite my few disagreements for his platform...but...yah know...the typical "I don't want Bush to win ever!!!" It's funny too...my mom has a thing about appearances. In Chinese (cuz things always sound ridiculous in Chinese, no offense) last Sunday, my mom noted to the entire household, "Bush is not a handsome man. Gore is a handsome man. People are going to vote for Gore. I am going to vote for Gore, because he's handsome and if I was younger, I would want to marry him."
My bottle of water smelled like a petri dish with bacteria today. On closer inspection, the lip of the bottle had a cloudy look to it. Note to self: never leave food or drink on my desk for longer than a day without refrigeration.
