After weeks of distress, my sister told me to call my mom now to discuss the matter of me visiting Alan.

However, the phone call kept me in high stress the entire time. As someone who is always open to her parents (because she thought it would give her the most awards), I couldn't really do anything without my parents' approval. Even a slight approval. I knew for a fact that my dad was not exactly pleased with the idea and had expressed his concern on that trip home. Nonetheless, I was finally satisfied (to a point) when my mom assured me that my dad wasn't that disapproving. Just the "moral concerns" of visiting a guy that I had "known" for a few months. Then suddenly my mom said "okay. if you insist, I can't really do anything."
They only want you to be happy.

But I researched a bit and was dismayed at how expensive airplane tickets were. WAY expensive. $124 for a roundtrip from Oakland Internation to Los Angeles International. Yeah...uhmmm... However on priceline, I finally got my offer of $20 and after other miscellaneous charges came out to a total of *drumroll*...$33.95!!!!!! Very cool!!! Hehe, even now my roommate who is from Pasendena is now jealous cuz she got a round trip ticket for $60. Haaaaaaar!

I can't wait to go though. Life is always great when you can save money and save time. :)
