• Those small ineffable words •

I really don't remember how I fell asleep last night. I remember taking a shower. Then suddenly boom, I am in my bed. Tiredness wrecks me.
Yesterday night, although against my will, I agreed to go down to Shattuck with Alston. At the time that I had recieved the call, I was talking to Catherine about my crisis. Then again, was it one?
Alston and I went down to Shattuck (with me wearing my orange camisole...which I shouldn't have worn...nothing ever fits me correctly!!!) to check out the movies. Nothing was good was playing...or at least when we went (almost 10 o'clock) most most movies were already being shown. So we just went to Mel's to "chill" (in his words).
I had a lime rickey which made my tongue green. Green in that sense is good. Green in the leafy sense is bad.
Eeeesh. Let me just say one thing. if she's picky, then let her be picky!!!!
After that, we roamed back all the way to his place. It was weird though, because spontaneously as we were walking up the hill, he suddenly asked me, "So how's Alan like?"
(Actually Litz asked me another weird quesiton later, "are you wearing makeup? I like your color!" Uh. No?! I don't know how to put on makeup!!! It was funny though...cuz everybody always asked that of my sister who only wears eyeliner and nothing else.)
Yes I must admit that I was caught off-guard. However, earlier I kept reiterating how I was so glad that I could go to LA to visit Alan and well for the most part, bragged about how I got my ticket for only thirty-five dollars--after taxes. Okay, and so later on at Alston's computer, I was showing him and Litz pictures of Alan and me. Sigh...!!!
"A geek," I had said. Now, I could have added words such as sweet, empathic...but noooooo...that was the first word that came out. Sometimes the words describing someone is totally ineffable.
Although I really wanted to start my process of relaxation in solitude mind you, I became fretful when Alston asked to walked me home. Then is saw Litz relaxing near the building's television. Doink. "Don't you want to see Foothill?" I asked. "You know to the quad that everyone has been raving about."
She gave me the really?! look and said, "Sure!" With that she bounded upstairs and grabbed her shoes. Then her roommate decided to go along. So yes three people (note last friday, Bex, Marisol, and Thejani walked me back) walked me all the way back to my dorm. They marvelled at the size. Desperately, (uh, yes I needed to use the bathroom) I ushered them out.
I took a shower. Went to take a short nap...or so I intended. I think. Not sure what happened. So I took a short nap still with my contacts. Woke up at 4 to noise across the room coming from my roommate and...her...brother? boyfriend? cousin? I had a dream that he was the cousin, but was that reality? Nonetheless at 4 am in the morning, I took off my contacts, collapsed on my bed again. Drifted off...woke up at 9 to shuffling from the other side of the room. My roommate was dragging her computer out.
Patience is a virtue. Yet when waiting is not rewarded, then life is ultimately dragged down to the murky depths.
