another listless day

Sunday, November 5th 2000 07:22PM

It was a repetition of all the Sundays I went through for the past...what eighteen years.

My mother barged into my room at 8 am, waking me up. My sister was in her room screaming, "Someone scratched me! Someone scratched me!!! AAAAAAGH!" My dad drifted in and out of my room. And I laid in my bed trying to return to a dream so that I could resolve a conflict brewing in it.
No wonder my sis complained that our parents go in and out of our room twenty times in an hour. Yet, it's also a wonder that I am accustomed to a lack of privacy. Hmm...so that's why I am prepared to live in a dorm.

Then I went to Church. Uhum. I guess I would be on the very thin line here with certain people if I shared my thoughts about the hour there. Let's just say that the punchline of the sermon's joke just didn't quite hit its mark.

Listlessly, I agreed to go to lunch with the grandparents. It's sorta sad in a way. Being the way I am with the status quo, I haven't really spoken to Maria. Okay so this is America--the old adage children should be seen not heard does not work in this place. My sis and I messed around with the ordering form...ordering this and that, things that we might or might not eat. After lunch though...I still felt hungry. My increasing pickiness of food is going to backfire soon. Alas, the curse of Chinese food.

Stayed at home...got dragged to WalMart. Napped for a good hour. Went back to my dorm. Listlessly sitting in front of my computer. Yet, another listless day.
