weirdness of human behavior

It was the oddest thing. I simply told my roommate Emily about how to end our lease since we\’re both graduating. Then suddenly, she is more conversational than usual. Perhaps, by opening a small communication channel, I allowed some friendliness to ensue.

Too many assumptions lead to too many aggravations. That is the root of misunderstanding.

Yet if the opposite situation happened, I would not have changed my level of friendliness. I would have kept the same stoic state. Perhaps, it\’s my own innate nature of shyness. I don\’t want to say more than I have to say.

As for my own irritation, today at work, one of my coworkers kept trying to bother me. I don\’t know whether it was a sign of friendliness or some other thing. But I didn\’t want to be mean (when someone has lost my complete resepect) and say that I didn\’t like it. I simply let it continue. He continually pronouced my last name wrong. Unnnnng he would shout every time he saw me. Jennifer UNNNNNNNGG. Last week, I asked if he was feeling constipated, but even a mild insult like that did not deter him. It was irritating, but I kept my levelness. Yet it progressed further when I was working on a resident\’s computer. As I was removing the \”bad\” registry values, he leaned over and asked if this was the 10th computer I fixed. Tenth? How is that possible? \”I have been here for almost two years!\” I gave him a hard stare.
