abuse of my cell number

This morning, I was woke up to my cell ringing. I was thinking that Chris the CCSA was calling me to go in. Then I looked at the screen and saw a number I didn\’t recognize. A long distance number. I answer it anyway. To my shock and irritation, it was a conference guest whose laptop had broken. she said that she got my number from the front desk. I was probably rude and very unhapppy because the guest had obtained my number for the wrong reason. I bished at the guest and told her to call another phone number or e-mail another address. I wasn\’t in the mood to diagnose the probelm now. I kept repeating every few sentences \”i have to tell them this\”.

Then for the next ten minutes, I tried to figure out what number I should call. I didn\’t know the number for the front desk. So I looked at my received calls and tried to recall which numbers were which. I always hated giving my cell number to any residents, because they woulld abuse it beyond recall. I remember last semester, I accidentally called a resident without blocking my cell number. Apparently, she saw my number and called it back when her Internet died again. I was like NO, DON\’T DO THIS TO ME. I had struggled up from my apartment and went to her place AGAIN at 11 pm. And so today I was moody and not receptive. Finalyl I figured out the number and luckily I called the right place. I bit off the head of the girl at the front desk, berating her for giving out my number to conference guests. I repeatedly told her that my number was only for \”emergencies\” if the kiosks were dying. Then I find out that the Internet was down. I was like WHAT. So I asked, \”DID YOU MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS PLUGGED IN?\” This is where I wish I got paid more than a measly $14/hr. She said yes. I grumbled and said that I would look at it soon. Three hours later (after my dad also got irritating as well), I finally arrive at the kiosk area.

I am confused when I see that none of the computers are getting internet. So I crawl under the tables and look at the minihub. I unplugged and replugged the power adapter. Didn\’t work. Then I looked at the cord connected to the wall. SOMEONE HAD UNPLUGGED IT. I wanted to scream. I should be paid more for some stupid task like that. I drove all the way there just to put a plug back in. I got no fulfilment out of it. And furthermore, I didn\’t have the chance to make someone feel stupid that it was a simple fix.

Anyway, irritated.
