the evil housemate

So help me, why can\’t I find anything good about my housemate, Marina?

Normally, I like to look for the good in people. Although my reactions don\’t say it, I have always determined that there is some good reason that people act the way they do. Even if they were mean to someone, I could blame it on a family thing, a personality trait that we should all accept.

Needless to say, I am a hypocrite too. I discard those that don\’t match my standards. And yet.

That isn\’t the point of my entry.

Because the NASA project group is leaving for California soon, we all wanted throw them a going away party. One of them is leaving this Wednesday with his wife who we all got to know. But you see we wanted to have the party on Tuesday. (Although right now, I am wondering why it couldn\’t have been planned for Monday…) Nonetheless, my housemate Marina got bitchy about it. She had already rsvped for a party on Tuesday and became incredibly angry that she was not included. But wait, can\’t she go to both parties? Can\’t you have the party earlier? Apparently nothing satisfied her…she wanted to have a party on Wednesday even though Greg had left. Whatever. It\’s annoying that we have to compromise to make her happy.

There\’s no reason to keep peace except to make sure she pays all the bills on time.
