her self-centeredness

My housemate, the one that lives next to me.

Every few days, I am overcome by anguish that she is self-centered. I mean, am I really overanalyzing? I really don\’t think so. I tell my other housemate that I don\’t want to go out today. I don\’t want to go to the bar in Shadyside. My housemate looks all concerned and I laugh…playing it off saying that it\’s not my thing today.

I go into my room and start working on my stuff (more like not doing anything significant). And i hear my housemate arrive…go upstairs to prepare to go out. She doesn\’t ask me once whether I am going although it\’s obvious I am in my room. She walks back and forth from her room to the bathroom going past my door. Not asking anything. Was I supposed to come out and congratulate her on going out…again? And then they leave.

What happened to consideration?
