I was kind of pissed at the Microsoft interview, because it was annoying how they didn\’t get me a usability person to interview me. Rather I just got a generic interviewer who was looking for CS people. I don\’t code, hello!
He asked me about redesigning his cell phone. I made a mistake by not thinking of the contact list, but it was interesting about how there are many things that can be added. What surprises me is the expectation of designing on the spot. In design, I have rarely come across instances where new designs must be developed right at the moment. They are thought of over time. I am not a natural brainstormer…but that\’s ok.
