Kathy asked me for another gmail invite. First, I was offended. She said that it was because she thought she deleted her account. I was reluctant. hesistant. Deleting her account? I remember when we first signed up for our berkeley.edu e-mail addresses, she chose the wrong name and as a result fought a long battle to change her berkeley.edu I had always been satisfied with mine: jdng.
Then I bothered her about how she deleted her account. She just said that she thought she did because she couldn\’t login. I frowned at my laptop at her incompentence. I told her to try the \”forgot password\” function. And now, I was irritated. I am happy to give out invites to people who never had one before. and especially those had some \”good\” relation with me. I am happy to do it. but to ask for it again! Why!
Then I finally got it out of her. She didn\’t like her gmail name. Fortunately, she was behind the wall of AIM otherwise she would have seen my rolling of the eyes. This is the second time she didn\’t like it! And evidently, she was playing around the settings and probably tried \”remove gmail\”. I don\’t know. Unlike most people, I always try to read the manual first. I observe the rules of RTFM.
Speaking of which, why don\’t some people let me read the manual. I feel so incompetent when I am not given time to read the manual and am rushed to complete a task.
But I just told Kathy to check back with me in week to see if I had enough invites.

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. by texas holdem
